e readers for handicapped readers ( text to speech )

My daughter is handicapped and can read, but on a low level, however, she is capable of understanding much more complicated stories and concepts than her reading abililty allows. I would like help on getting a quality e reader for her that converts text to speech. Thank you for any help you can give.

Using Kindle for Low Vision

I've got several friends with low vision using Text-To-Speech on Kindle for most reading, only occasionally changing font size. So far, it has worked well -- and the text follows the speech, so that additional reinforcement of the written word might be of benefit to you.
