Help! Is this processor fast enough?

Hi there happy

I'm looking to buy a laptop for when I begin tertiary education. I'll use it almost constantly, for internet surfing, word processing, and listening to music/watching videos. No gaming or intense applications like that.

The one I'm currently looking at has an "Intel Core i3-2367M Processor Featured as 1.4Ghz x 4 with HT." It has 8GB RAM. I was wondering, will this processor be fast enough for what I'm wanting to use the laptop for?

Any help is much appreciated!

Fast Processor

The i3 2367M is a 2 core CPU that runs at 1.40 GHz. There are several hundred stronger CPUs.

It will probably get by for the tasks listed, but it won't be up to more demanding tasks; eg video editing, gaming.

Years ago my first video editing laptop that delivered was an Acer ter-600. This Pentium 3, 600 MHz machine did the job back then and it was a single core CPU at the noted speed.

Are you saying a faster CPU and system can't edit video?
