Need to replace my Gateway NV52 Motherboard...

and I have no idea what motherboards would be compatible. I am pretty desktop computer savvy, having built uncountable ones, and repaired even more, but I've never taken a laptop apart before, and I am thinking (looking at this case) that they are proprietary, and difficult to match. Is this true? Does anyone know where I can find upgrades/replacements (I figure if I'm going to fix it I might as well get a better one if possible.)

If you have a NV52 laptop, you need a NV52 motherboard. Desktops are much more open.

motherboards. Some computer stores will install it and only cahrge you labor if you don't want to attempt replacing it on your own.
