DVD Supermulti Drive with Labelflash not working. exact replacements cost over $100. I think it is an ATA device but I'm not sure about these things. I see some that go for $30 +. Please advize.

Toshiba used both types.

Since I have no model number, year or such I can't look into this.

Why not some USB DVDRW until you find out more?

Hello,

Thanks for the answer. The only information I could find on my computer is HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T40F ATA Device. What else do you need? If this is an ATA device can it be replaced by any other slim ATA DVD burner? I don't want to buy an external burner and then still get an internal one later. I am trying to save money.

Sorry but the model number of the laptop would be nice.

I can't check out if it accepts other models without that.

But you can find that drive and if you needed to, transfer the BEZEL from the old to the new drive.

Also, since no country is noted, for this conversation I'll limit all findings to USA.
