My Camera on My Laptop will not work....Some Please help me!

When I try to use Oovoo, Skype or anything using my cam, I can see the person and talk to them and everything but they can't see me. My screen is pure black. The little illuminated light comes on and all but the screen shows black no matter what program I am using. Please can someone help me. I am trying to talk to my son oversees. My system information is below.




System

Microsoft Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3



Computer:

Intel (R) Core TM 2 Duo CPU
P8600 @ 2.40GHz
2.39 GHz, 1.92 GB of RAM
