upgrading laptop processor

Hello, I have the emachines e525 laptop model.
It now has a celeron 900 2.2 ghz processor, I recently got an offer to buy a Intel core2duo T5870.
From what I've found both processors are on 'socket P'
So I'm looking for confirmation if this new processor will work with my system.<div>Also will I need to upgrade a fan , radiator or something? as my celeron is on 45nm and the core2duo is on 65nm.

http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=41498 writes PGA478 which is another way of writing "Socket 478."

Don't waste your money.

Beyond the socket is that chipset that must support the dual core intel cpus.

But to not leave you without options, read the discussion at Overclocking advice where they wanted to speed it up by overclocking. It was later found there were some software dogging the machine.
