Upgrade Laptop HDD

I have my new laptop that only has a 5400 RPM drive. I have a spare Seagate sitting around that runs at 7200 RPM. These drive are both exactly the same size. I have the 7200 sitting in an external enclosure. Whats the best software to clone the current drive.

I would ideally like to use something that is free and that I can boot from a disk.,

While I can use CLONEZILLA and get it done, you may have some requirements beyond getting it done.
