I think, now I've run my BE-2400 long enough in my Aspire 5515, to make a conscious verdict. Yes, it works. Yes, you can keep the temps in check, and it'll be a definite advantage over the stocker (2650e). You may have to get a better than stock power supply, you shouldn't cheap out on thermal compound, and, you should definitely run a program to undervolt the CPU, a la RMClock. But, having done all that, enjoy the power boost. The battery will suffer a little - you'll have to adjust for battery usage, but you'll lose about 15 mins of battery life. And, that's it, in terms of having to make concessions for the more powerful 2x processor. Still, don't throw away that stock 2650e, it may be of good use one day. On a side note, the built-in ATI Radeon X1200 isn't half bad, what it's made out to be. I run a 1080p monitor on it, and you can can run basic to intermediate gaming at full-rez. My GeForce on my desktop 'puter is not as good. 'Nuff said.
