Sprint Music Store Downloads

Concerning music downloaded from Sprints Music Store not supported on Sprints HTC Hero (and other Android phones, Palm phones?).
I have a small file of songs downloaded on a Samsung Instinct (about 100) on the micro sd card that the Hero won't play. Initial answer at a Sprint Store was the music is not supported on Hero and a shrug of shoulder as to the $ lost. What can I do?

After grueling 1.5 hrs, going through 2 advanced tech support ppl and ending with advanced escalation support I have been told the music is not compatible with HTC Hero. Further they are refunding only half the $ I spent on songs from the 'store'. I gave in. Didn't expect any refunds to be honest.
