I have had an issue with my wifi connection just all of the sudden, a few months ago. My brother decided to change a setting of our wifi connection and ever since then, I can't connect to my Fios wifi. He( changed it from wpa to a wpa2 or something) This change effected nothing else but my laptop. A reset of my router fixed it for a couple days and then I called verizon and they sent out a new router which still didn't fix it. I don't know why he changed it other than "this is better"...from a computer geek who takes 2yrs to fix anything that isn't his. Lol. Other laptops work, my TV, phones, tablets, everything else is working fine. Plus, my laptop hooks up to every other wifi connection but this one. I am so annoyed that I am considering buying a new one, even though this is still in excellent condition in every other way. I have NO idea what to do except attempt a factory reset and throw in the recovery disk but I will be winging ever step. I know smart phones and tablets but my computer knowledge is minimal. I've changed a keyboard....lol. anyone have suggestions? I looked on Toshiba's website and saw others have similar problems but theirs won't hook up to any wifi connection. However they were saying its a defect from Toshiba. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
