It's in the top post in this forum so a short version. Power off, remove AC, battery, press and hold the power button 60 seconds, release, battery then AC and re-test.

If not, let's hear more about the age of the laptop, etc.

i tried bob, no change in tat.. i partition a disk from c drive, i think it may be dynamic.. so prob would have occured due to tat.

Then unplug the HDD. That way you will see the BIOS screen if the HDD is interfering.

did the battery test and that wasn't it. The next test I did was I connected to an external monitor and I was able to see the screen on the external monitor. I googled my situation and and it pointed to it being a problem with the inverter. Well it was under warranty and it turned out to be a bad LCD cable that connects to the inverter.
