On average, how long does your laptop battery last?

-- Less than 1 hour. (Which model laptop and what type of battery?)
-- Between 1 and 2 hours. (Which model laptop and what type of battery?)
-- Between 2 and 3 hours. (Which model laptop and what type of battery?)
-- Between 3 and 4 hours. (Which model laptop and what type of battery?)
-- Between 4 and 5 hours. (Which model laptop and what type of battery?)
-- More than 6 hours. (Which model laptop and what type of battery?)
-- I don't own a laptop.

How Long?

My laptop is almost always connected to AC so I haven't had any real reason to research this. However, in the rare occasion my HP laptop (or is it notebook) runs down, it doesn't last too long...2-3 hrs.

How Long?

I, also, run my laptop on AC. When I have relied on the battery, it usually fails me when I need it most - usually around the 2.5 hr. point. I have two android tablets. The batteries on both last all day (I have never run one dry). They are a much better solution for travelling.

BATTERY LIFE

I bought a Samsung notebook in July of this year and my battery only last about 1 hr when not plugged in. It will start off with almost 4hrs and within 1 hr will go to 7%. Computer not even 4 months old and will not hold a charge.

Battery longevity

If you haven't already, take a look at your power options in control panel, you may want to make some adjustments there. Typically if you are using the optical drive, DVD/ CD's, the battery will dissipate more rapidly. The first thing to look at would be power settings, on battery, in control panel.

Battery

I have 2 Toshiba L/T'S 1 is a 17" Core 2 system, normal function (no optical drive use) just about 2 hours. The other is a dual core and the battery will last about 2.4 hours again not using optical drive. They are both using standard 6 cell batteries, OEM.
