Laptop troubleshooting forum: laptop error message

laptop error message

When I switch on my laptop it gives me the error that "BOOT UP PROCESS NOT FOUND" it tells to do memory test, upon memomry test it says ok but while doing harddisk test it says "DOESN'T EXIT" even sometimes it says to "INSTALL AN OPERATING SYSTEM" but after several attempts to log on by pressing Ctrl,Alt,Delete it then works,but keep on freezing.

PROCESSOR:AMD DUAL CORE
OPERATING SYSTEM:WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM
HARDDISK:TOSHIBA SATA 250GB

It's unique! You are the only one who (according to google) ever mentioned this error message! Most likely, even Compaq (HP) Customer support doesn't know it.

My guess: some hardware problem with your motherboard. Could be BAD CAPS, for example (google that for details). Your local repair shop can tell you more, including the cost of repair if it are bad caps indeed.
