I have an hp probook 4530s. A while ago it started going to sleep or turning off when moved. I have seen other threads displaying the later problem, but not mentioning going to sleep.
It seems random whether the laptop goes to sleep or turns off, but oftentimes the turning off will occur after the computer has gone to sleep (I.E. computer is moved and goes to sleep, computer is powered back up, computer is moved and turns off). There are occasions when it turns off before going to sleep first.
When the computer goes to sleep the power button blinks and when pressed the computer boots up as normal. I have a fully functional battery and adapter, and the problem occurs when utilizing either or both implying it is not a problem with a connection in the ac port.
Sometimes the problem will occur when the computer is just slightly moved or picked up and other times I can move the laptop between rooms without it occurring. I believe that the problem must be a loose connection somewhere but I can't figure out where the going to sleep comes in.
I am comfortable opening the laptop and checking connections but I don't know what connections I should be checking or how I would tell if they are loose or not.
