Dolby Advanced Audio missing from laptop?? Help!!

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L655D-S5159. I used to be able to access the Dolby Advanced Audio enhancement by right clicking the speaker icon on the bottom right, then select properties and then speaker properties and finally clicking enhancements. When I did this today it showed me something different. Instead of seeing Dolby Advanced Audio, I see that windows now controls the audio. Please help me get it back. I liked the sound Dolby enhancement provided better. Thank you in advance.

I've got a Toshiba Satellite A-665-S6086 and am running Windows 7. I ran into this problem today when I downloaded Realtek's High Def Audio Driver R2.63. When I downloaded the new driver, my previous Realtek HD Audio Manager was gone. The Dolby Advanced Audio enhancement is embedded in that Manager. I did a System restore and rolled back my computer to a restore point before downloading R2.63 and wah-lah -- the Realtek HD Audio Manager is back -- and thus the Dolby Advanced Audio enhancement is back.

I don't know what operating system you're using or whether this will work for you, but given the recent date your problem occurred, I'm wondering if you updated you Realtek drivers too? That may be where your issue is. I'm not a tech person by any means, so this is pure speculation on my part.
