Keyboard stopped working on Toshiba Satellite L645

Laptop Specs:
Toshiba Satellite L645D - S4056
Windows 7
Model no. PSK0QU - 012OOD

I was using my laptop and all of the sudden the key stopped working as they were pressed. They would work once but now all keys cease to opperate. Any information on problems like this and ideas on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

How Old

It is about 7 months old.
I can get into BIOS and i am not really worried about te warranty. I bought the computer in the USA at best buy and now am living in France until December so state side help is a long way away and expensive to ship.

If you can get into the BIOS the keyboard is not dead.

This sounds like Windows has lost some driver or setting.

The easy fix is to boot SAFE MODE (widely documented so I won't tell how) and then use SYSTEM RESTORE to when it worked.
