Fan problem after Windows Update? 1 day old Sony Vaio F

I just bought a brand new Sony VPCF115FM yesterday and am already having issues with it. This afternoon it updated Windows and turned off. Now the processor cooling fan is running full speed and never turns off. How could the update have affected the processor fan? How can I make it run normally?

I restore to the factory load and never accept Microsoft offered drivers. I've lost count how many times this fixed it.
