Browser won't load Full page

Hi: I have an ACER Aspire laptop I recently purchased this Summer.
Windows Vista Home Premium 4GB Ram.
I use Firefox as my premium browser.I recently locked down IE 7 as I do do in my XP Home Desktop.
When I went to go to some sites I now get these messages Adobe Flash needed, Script half loaded or no page showing. Could this be because of locking IE 7? By locking I check everything to disable and use only to download monthly patches( as I
do on my XP Machine) Does Vista need IE more to function then XP does? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi I followed Grif's advice everything came out negative all clean.Also used Counterspy and KAV all negative.
I use Firefox 3.0.14 as my primary browser I did try with IE before I locked it and that worked.Just to make my post clear all was working well until I locked IE 7(checking everything disable in it).On my XP machines when I do that I have no problems.just wondering if Vista is more reliant on IE? Anymore suggestions would be appreciated.

If I disabled Flash in IE, I wouldn't be too surprised if pages with Flash didn't work in IE. But, frankly speaking, I don't see the use of disabling things if I don't use them.

What happens if you enable them again, just for experiment? Or maybe even for real, if it helps to solve your problem.

Hi: I tried IE it worked and I did a scan with Secunia online scanner and found I did not have up to date Adobe Flash Player.So I downloaded and all works.Thanks for your help and suggestions.
