Bad Video Card??

I've been having problems with my laptop and I believe its a bad video card. I bought the laptop about a year ago and I've been using an external monitor via a docking station exclusively.

Model HP Pavilion dv6900
Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS

I get a messed up view with multiple screen even in the BIOS which is leading me to believe its the video card.
Attached is the screen shot.

You do know the 8400M is defective? Just type 8400M DEFECTIVE on google.

Hp changes out the motherboard in this case.
Figure 7 to 10 days max depending on weather, shipping delays.

And YES, I know about this failure,

integrated graphics card. If the card goes the whole Mobo has to be replaced. I guess if you have to send it away then that difference doesn't matter as much you will still me without the laptop for awhile.
