Hi There, could you please help find out if my wireless card is seated ?? I cannot get my wireless to work on a second hand Toshiba satellite pro 4600 I own . I have run out of ideas and dont know where to checkon the laptop. Thankyou for any help

hey I am trying to disassemble my toshiba satellite to replace the cd-rom drive in it but it wont open all the way so I was wondering if i can get some help locating all the screws so i dont breck my laptop.


P.S. uncle spanky is just my nickname at school it isn't anything preverted i would tell what it means but its a long story

I am looking for information on dismantling a Toshiba A35 to replace the power jack. I have removed every screw I could find on the bottom case, across the back and under the keyboard. It still does not come apart. What am I missing? Is there a manual available to help me complete this task?

I am a Romanian citizen having a Toshiba Satellite P15-S470 laptop, Serial Number 14338165K.
Firstly, about one year ago I got the LCD screen not working. Initially it was working properly but one day I have to leave the room for few minutes and when I came back the screen was black.
I started the laptop and I noticed that when the power was on the LCD screen was white with some vertical shadow lines (very sine lines). I noticed that a slight burning smell was issued by laptop.
I was told by the technicians from SCOP Computers in Bucharest (the only one dealer of Toshiba in Romania) that the screen is out of order and it has to be replaced.
I bought through eBay a new LCD screen (Chunghwa - CLAA154WA01AQ) replacing the old one. The result was negative. Than I was told that the video cable might be the problem and I was advised to buy another video cable. I bought another video cable compatible with the original one but the screen is still white, without any vertical or horizontal lines (so the LCD seams to be in good condition).
In the end I was told by the technician that it is a motherboard problem and I have to buy a new one or to find some one to repair it.
Can you assist me to sort out this problem, to repair my laptop?
I would like to remove the motherboard but I do not know how to do it.

Wow! I have been to your website and you definitely have info for most Toshiba's, very impressive. Your info is extensive but the 1955-S801 is not among them. Although the 1955 looks much like the 1905 but they are not exactly the same. The bearings are going out in my fan and I am hoping you have instructions in your colletion for the 1955 or maybe you can point me in the right direction?
