1. One thing is it's hard to find SSD on anything other then ultrabooks except the high end gaming machines. I purchased a laptop with a HD and moved it to the 2nd drive bay and cloned it to a SSD. Now what is out there are HD's with small amount of cache space of flash technology that SSD use. These are called Hybrids it you purcahse the drvie separately. They are are a cheaper alternative to SSD's.

2. Also in your wants there aren't alot of 15 inch laptops with true 1080P resolution but almost all are 720P (1366 x 768).

I did see as ASUS advertised at Best Buy on sure if it has 2 drive bays to add a SSD but it pretty much fills your other needs.

Thank you so much for the reply....I like that asus. Will go look at it.

I noticed two machines at CES in 2013 have what appears to be my wants/needs. What is the typical timeframe on releasing machines shown at CES.

Samsung Chronos Series 7 (refresh shown at CES 2013)
Sony Vaio T15 (CES 2013)

Both are saying (coming weeks) and (spring release)

If not the ASUS above...I might wait for one of those two.
