Looking for a personal home/office laptop without Windows 8
by veloster29 - 11/19/12 6:17 AM
I have been told by BETA TESTERS for Windows 8 to avoid it and need a laptop. Most good deals only include Windows 8. Will not look at a Mac. Bad experience with Apple.
I was told there is an American Manufacturer that is reliable and reasonable, have lost the link to the name. Can someone assist me.
Just talked to Dell, to avoid Windows 8 is almost $300.00 more, which is unacceptable to me.
Consumers have all become BETA TESTERS without our permission or knowledge in the rush to get the product/software out to market. I will not knowingly go through what I have experienced with my car electronics, my cell phone, or a computer laptop again. I do not agree to fix the software issues of a developer due to market competition. That being said, I still need a decent home office laptop.
Some decent graphics, battery life, lightweight, Bluetooth compatible for my printer, Office 2003 or newer, not too slow, using for telecommuting. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.
