So I've been researching gaming laptops (Toshiba, MSI, Asus) for the past few weeks trying to find the best deal by the end of the month, and I finally found a couple I could pull the trigger on. The first was a Toshiba Qosmio X770-775 that was customizable to upgrade everything I could ever want at a great deal ($400 off, 2 free upgrades). I went to check it out the next day and the webpage had been removed. Made a few calls and found out they're out of stock. Okay, tough luck, so choice number 2 is prebuilt Qosmio X775-Q7384 Laptop. It has great reviews, supposedly awesome cooling, and good gaming hardware (i7-2670, 1.5gb GDDR5 GTX 560m, 1TB 7200rpm, 8GB DDR3 1333MHz memory, blu-ray player for movies, etc) I would have liked a better processor/graphics card and also 1080p (this is 1600x900p) but I sacrificed these things for the better-than-average customer service and tech support ratings I've seen plus the 5 star reviews, and the supposed fact that these specs can handle pretty much any games i can throw at it on Ultra/High settings anyway. So I pulled the trigger and ordered it last night. I check the website this morning and they've added an updated version of this Qosmio, the Qosmio X875-Q7280. It has i7-3610, 3gb GDDR5 GTX 670m, 1tb 7200rpm, 12GB 1600MHz DDR3 memory (4GBx3). It still lacks the 1080p, and from what I can tell it doesn't have the blu-ray player like the x775, and also apparently doesn't have many of the inputs and controls that the x775 has. The X775 is $1349 with $100 off (orig. $1449), the X875 is $1449. The only thing stopping me from making the call to cancel my order and switch to the X875 is that there are no customer reviews on it yet, it's lacking the blu-ray which is may or may not need, and its missing some of the button controls the 775 has (i don't even know if i would use them). If anyone can help me decide which to buy, I would greatly appreciate it!
