Ultra light PC's?

I was looking at some in BBY today and none of the ones I looked at had multi touch trackpads for zooming in web pages. They were all around $1000

Even the Asus Ultra Book had no multitouch trackpad. But my $250 Asus eee PC does.

What's up with that? The BBY rep told me that's because Apple owns multitouch and other companies have to licence it.

There are folk that don't want patents, copyrights and more enforced. Did you look at the Asus S3 and Samsung UltraBooks?

I see the models with 500GB HDDs go on sale for 800 or less all the time.

Ultrabooks

I thought the Best Buy answer was wrong.

As stated above.
Why does my Asus eee PC for $250 have multitouch, but the Asus Ultrabook for $1000 has no multitouch.

Yes, almost ALL of the full sized Laptops I checked DID in fact have multitouch.

So is it a problem with the form factor? Why don't Companies put multitouch into Ultrabooks?
