LED OR LCD...what are the drawbacks

I have 2 laptops..a 6 yr old Dell inspiron and a new HP-
Pavillion dv7. The Dell has a LCD screen works great! The HP has a LED screen also a great sharp screen, but when i move the screen up or down, oh the HP i start loosing the picture, compared with the LCD..where i can see the screen in any position..wonder if this a problem with the LED screens, or is it my graphics card. thanks for all feedback.

There are no LED screens today in such makes.

There are LED back lit screens but both are 99.999% sure to be LCD.

The VIEWING ANGLE is not a function of the backlight method or graphic card (it's incorrect to say there is a card in most models) but a function of the LCD panel.

To push prices down, the viewing angle appears to be sacrificed.

Do a google search for who makes these. They are a bit costly now but have been coming down in price. Here's just a little about these.
