Clarification request: Durable means?

This is not that laptop. To move to durable we look at the Panasonic Toughbooks. This laptop is nice but to call it durable is a stretch.

Thinkpad v Latitude

What's your take on a Thinkpad T420 vs T520 vs Dell Latitude series (e.g. e6520)?

I can get a really good deal on a new Thinkpad with a 24% discount and then an extra 5% off that through the B&N portal. Some recent T520 reviews have said the quality has dropped and the Latitude is now a stronger/more rugged computer. Also, I'm more interested in the T420 (size and weight) but the reviews for that, while good, tend to be lower than the T520 reviews.

basically for price point, new thinkpad or a refurbished Dell Latitude from the dell outlet are my options.

Also considering trying to fix my G60, but my 24% discount on thinkpads expires tomorrow and won't have the replacement harddrive by then.

We have too many Dells at the office.

There are not "durable." After a few years they all show wear, dings and such. Even our Thinkpads don't wear that well.

But for the run of the mill work laptops, you're looking at the usual. It's that durable that we have to dismiss as these are not durable.
