Asus UL30A with embedded sim

Afternoon,

Am a bit of a technophobe and need some advice on my laptop (now that I have dusted it off!)

I got this laptop through 02 about 14 months ago and the cotract on it has now expired. I don't want to stick with 02 as they have not been fantastic customer service-wise..... it took me 18 hours on the phone over 3 weeks to get the damned thing set up!

Will I be able to use another network SIM card in the laptop? If so does anyone have any recommendations as to who's mobile broadband is the quickest?

If I can't use another SIM card in it then can I use a dongle in it? I remember about 5 years ago I had a HP NC6000 for work and I put an 02 dongle in it after putting a 3G dongle in it and there was some sort of software conflict and it never worked properly again!

If anyone could give me some advice it would be much appreciated!

It depends.

If the device was bought on a subsidized plan, you pay less for the device but it could be locked to that plan.

Given so little details it's a good chance that it is not locked to any provider.
