New laptop buyer needs advice!

I'm 16 and needing a laptop to study in my last year of school. I only really need it to access the internet, load/use a few programs and do general study.
I have never bought a laptop before and wondering if this is okay for the things I need. Also, is it a good price for its quality and features?
And would you recommend certain features or certain brands?

As to good price, you have to compare with what else you can get IN YOUR MARKET. It's a big world and there's always a better deal out there. You can spend your time hunting for the better deal which is not a bad idea. For example you are seeing the ULTRABOOKS are rolling out with really nice features like booting in 3 or 4 seconds.
