Im looking to buy a used laptop, does anyone know of a good place (other than eBay)where i can get one?

That might depend on where you live. This is an international forum, you know. I wouldn't advice to buy with a Spanish shop if you happen to live in Canada or Australia.

The problem with laptops is that they tend to have a rather limited livespan and are rather expensive to repair. So you might be lucky and buy one that serves you still more years and you might be unlucky and spend a lot for a nice machine that just came out of a 2-year warranty and fails next month.

I'd go for a new one with a long warranty. What's your budget and what's your expected use?

I know it sounds really cheap but i want something for around $250, thats why i figured i could find something used allot easier, im looking more for a reputable website or dealer someone that can offer a warranty.

I deal with churches,(normally frugal). I have found EPC to be a good reliable source of used laptops. They test their off lease returns carefully. They are available on line as epcusa.com

Used computer and components source

There is a local computer recycling place here that sells components as well as refurbished computers. I don't know how much they do in the way of used laptops, but you can check. Also, there may be a similar business near you.

This one is called Renew Computers -- renewcomputers.com. I believe they sell on eBay as well as in their store here.

Of course, if you know what you are buying, there is always craigslist.
