Help in Choosing a Laptop

I'm looking to buy a Dell Vostro laptop. The 1720 comes with Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 (2.4GHz, 3MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB) and the 1710 can be configured with Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB). Is the extra expense of the T9300 worth it? I'll be using it for asp/.net development and home use and want to understand if the extra expense is warranted.

Any advice would be gerat. Thanks. Actually, any advice with other brands would also be appreciated. Around the 1500-2K bracket.

Dell USA doesn't offer the P8400 or T9300 anymore.

Take a look http://www.anandtech.com/printarticle.aspx?i=3356 and decide. I would take the Montevina.

Ok, thanks I'll take a look at that article. Yeah www.dell.ca offers bothin the 1700 Vostro laptop.
