What do I do about Bhdrvx64 error/Norton/Google Chrome?

I hope that I'm on the right forum. If I'm not, please direct me.
While I was playing Candy Crush Saga using Google Chrome, Norton 360 came up, saying Google Chrome was using high CPU. My computer crashed. When I restarted it, it went through a few screens, winding up at the Windows diagnostics screen. It said a hardware or software issue may be at fault and asked me if I wanted to run a point restore. After running through the diagnostics and restore, a message came up saying that everything was fine and that it was an 0x0 error.
My computer restarted, and I saw that some areas (Security section) of Norton 360 was disabled. When I clicked to enable those areas, a box appeared, saying "Unable to locate file. Please reinstall." However, it did not say which file. I then ran Norton's diagnostics, which said that I should enable delayed start up of Google Chrome, and I was prompted to click on Fix next to a notation "Inoperable hardware devices. Run Device Manager," and a notation that BDHRVx64 is not present. I checked Device Manager, but nothing was "x'd" out or had a warning next to it.
I was able to get Norton set up, but could not access Google Chrome or any e-mail links that required Internet access -- until I made Mozilla Firefox my default browser.
I contacted Norton techs -- who were not helpful, but suggested I seek a technician or Google Chrome.
I never had any of these problems until I installed Norton 360 a week ago. It seems to work fine -- other than it's problem with Google Chrome. I do not know what version Google Chrome is, since I can't access it, but I do know it's a later version. Norton 360 is 18.104.22.168.
Any help will be appreciated. I have heard praises and problems with Norton, so I thought I'd give it a try when my Kaspersky subscription ran out.
I use Windows 7 Home Premium 4 GB, and 64-bit.
