How can I delete a file with a pathname that's too long?

I was pulling MP3 files onto a micro-sd card. One of them went nuts and put itself into dozens of folders-within-folders, all with the same name. When I try to delete it, it returns an error as pathname is too long and file is corrupted. Well, Windows, that's precisely why I want to delete it!!!

Tried del in the cmd screen. Doesn't do anything.

Tried shift+delete in 7zip. Returns corrupted file error.

Any other ideas?

Use the short name (8.3)

There is a spammer that we'll delete about a longpart spam posting that is just spam. Not useful at all.

-> "To maintain backward-compatibility with legacy applications (on DOS and Windows 3.1), an 8.3 filename is automatically generated for every LFN, through which the file can still be renamed, deleted or opened."

So no tool is ever required.
