Manage updates with the Download App
For the past six months or so I've had the problem of having my active window deselect itself many time during a session...as often as every ten seconds or so. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit installed on a Dell Xps 15z-i7.
I have read most of the windows forum suggestions on this topic, and none have work for more than a week or two. I have run ARO software checks and Advanced System Care 6 Pro. No help.
Any ideas?
I updated my Nvidia software...no help.

Sounds like touchpad

Do you have your touchpad active? It could be that when your hand touches parts of the touchpad, this could be happening. I can use touchpads when I have to, but normally I disable it and use a mouse. Personally I think the touchpad is a masochistic device designed by evil demons.

That is, look at what's running and reduce those things? It could be as simple as an app that was added or updated. Here's the deal. You know what's running so you can run less and less till you get it.
You should also try another user account to see if that happens there.

checking on all the active processes using Windows Task Manager. But I don't know enough about which ones should be running. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Then try a new user account.

That way you can compare the two. As to what's running, we google that and learn what each item is.
Bonus research? Go get HIJACKTHIS and product a log file. Now research each line to figure out what each does.
