Importing profiles from Windows XP into Windows 7

I completed the transfer but I am having permissions and access problems to various files and folders. What is the correct way to release the security or permissions for files and folders? Is there a global way to deal with this problem? Thank you

You didn't tell what folder was a problem so all I can offer is that you google this.

Windows 7 add folder permissions.
