Realplayer Update

ran Realplayer Update for free ver. this AM. Took about 20 files and folders off my desktop and I can't find them.
Realplayer of course will not own up to this malfuntion blaming it on the computer manufacturer and then Microsoft.
What a pile Realplayer turned into.

Why would anyone have Realplayer on their system?

Years ago, I have forgotten how many, I uninstalled RealPlayer from all my systems due to identical problems you are currently having. There are many other very good software program's to install. Google is your best friend, or try VLC Media Player or Windows Media Player.
