I have installed the OS from a CD .
And what is the next step ?

- That could be the explanation. One expects a DVD. The latest OS to come on a CD was Windows XP.
- And what disk exactly? There are many more disks than "recovery media Dell supplied or you made yourself".
- Did it come with something like a "driver and utilities" disk?

And:
- In our review http://www.cnet.com/laptops/dell-inspiron-15/4505-3121_7-33542151.html I read a native resolutiuon of 1366x768, while you mention 1024x768. The first seems much better. Can you set it to that?

I am glad that the issue is resolved.
For installing Windows 7 64 Bit operating system, you will require an OS DVD.

Follow these instructions to download and install the drivers:
1. Click on 'Download File' and click 'Continue'.
2. Click 'Yes' on User Account control if prompted.
3. Click 'Continue' on the Application prompt and click 'OK' on Select the folder where you want to unzip the files to (make a note of the folder location).
4. Click 'Yes' on the next prompt for folder does not exist.
5. Click 'OK' on All files were successfully unzipped.
6. If the installation wizard does not appear, go to the folder location, select the Setup file; right-click and select 'Run as Administrator'.
7. Follow the installation wizard instructions.
Please share the device manager screenshot, if possible.

I have downloaded the same driver and installed it fine .
But I am having the same problem .
Wht to do now ?

... type Window color, then click Change Window Color and Metrics. Under the title Items there's a down pointing arrow you can click to select what you want to change. With each one you select, you have the option to change size, spacing, colors, etc.

Yes I changed the resolution .

... the desktop looks perfectly normal to me. I did notice that you have a missing driver listed under "Other Devices". Do you know what that is? I'd want to resolve that.

Yes saw under other devices there is a yellow mark.
And i did installation for couple of drivers and now the other Devices it self is not coming .

I see that the laptop was not shipped with any OS. Did you install Windows 7 32-Bit or 64-Bit?

The 32-Bit driver is not available on the Dell support site.
Try this 32-Bit driver: http://ftp1.dell.com/video/R245384.exe

Can you please guide me how can I install windows 7 64 bit ? I mean do I have any option to choose somewhere while install ?
