Wat in tarnation is a " Virtual Box"? Also, all but two items in on the WIN98SE CD work. every other winzip folder works except two. I had winzip 16.5 Pro and it was useless and backed it up to winzip 14.5 Pro. WinZip sent two 17's one a 32bit and a 64bit, the only one that worked was the 64bit. Since I bought this in 05/3112 as a /winzip and winzip courier 3.5 Combo Pack, the only one that works is courier. I will not be buying anything from WinZip forever. I just downloaded the 2 free 7-Zip 32/64 bit. I also have Peazip.

Windows 98 has been unsupported for too long. If you did get it to work, it might be good for running any ancient software as long as you didn't go on the internet. I saw a guy the other day who bought a complete 10 year old Dell computer with Windows on it. He paid $23. If he tries to get on the Internet with it, he'll get infected with malware so fast it would make your head spin. You'd have somewhere between an extremely difficult and impossible time getting drivers to work with a modern computer.
Not even the original XP install discs will work with modern computers because of SATA incompatibilities. You can hook and crook and sometimes get XP to work, but Windows 98? And if you did, it wouldn't be good for anything but trouble.

It could be sidestepped using the How To above with an externaal hard drive that is not SATA and counnects to 2 USB hubs inside an aluminium case. Darrell
