My HP Scanjet 3500C won't function in W7. I have tried all drivers I could find and different OS settings. Is there a workaround? It worked well in Vista...

Sorry, VueScan works with HP drivers, and because I don't have a HP W7 driver, VueScan can't help me, but thanks for the tip!

I've taken old scanners installed hamrick's solution and scanned without the HP driver pack. It's been a few years but did you try installing it? The demo mode tells us if there is hope.

I have other solutions but they are for those that must get it working by any means.

I have seen then as low as $39.99 and others at hhgreeg.com were $40 each.

If you have the Pro version, you can use XP Mode

If you have the Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate version of Windows 7, you can download the free XP Mode and run it under that. It works well that way.
