I'm seeming randomly having a problem on my self-built desktop PC where my keyboard and mouse will freeze up, leaving the computer virtually inoperable. I also get strange hangs in the mouse that last a second or so, leading up to one big hang. There's no BSOD or anything like that.
I have to hard reboot in order to do anything. All programs and services continue to run and there's no real warning. Games will continue to play like normal as will videos and music, I just can't alt/tab or Cntrl/Alt/Delete. There's no indication that the devices disconnected physically or otherwise. The LEDs on the keyboard stay lit, so it's not as if it loses power.
I have tried unplugging and replugging, updating USB drivers, installing and subsequently uninstalling Logitech software, and physically cleaning the fan (Just to ensure heat wasn't a factor). I've ran virus checks from Avast and Malware Bytes that have come back clean. I've looked into the event viewer, but I'm not very proficient with it and I can't seem to find anything on it.
Any advice?
