How do I update my media player on a Windows 7

I have Windows 7 on my lap top and am trying to open a booktrailer review. It won't open and my puplishing rep. suggested I update my media player. How do I do that?

Most common? FLASH needs updating.

For now I uninstall FLASH and go get the latest from Adobe.com.

If that doesn't help, you should try that site with Google's CHROME browser.

Open the Win Media Player>Help>"Check for updates"......that's it!

Save the new WMP12, delete the other

Then install the latest version. You may require Windows updates. There is a newer flash player from Adobe.com. it is for32/64 bit Windows: FlashUtil32_11_5_502_131_ActiveX. don't forget to uninstall the previous one windows/system32/Macromed/flash. Whatever was left over I highlighted and deleted, then installed the latest version. Another item to check is what version of Silverlight you have - I updated that also and deleted the older one FIRST. I had it saved also in Downloads with flash player. If Adobe reader is X, that is the older version, download Adobe Reader XI (11), save in Downloads and Remove all those items. Darrell
