Duel Monitor crisis

First off I am posting this in the OS help for Win7 only because I know all of my hardware works.
Lets start from the beginning, I have my 42 inch TV and my 32 inch monitor. I recently changed from a duplicate image setup to an extended desktop. I had also purchased a new screen so I sold the 32 inch monitor, for this new monitor. I go to get the monitor and guess what its the wrong monitor. Small detail anyway I figured I could use my 42inch plasma as a substitute while I wait on my new monitor. However now (my guess is) that I dont have a primary screen, the plasma wont be detected and I get no signal no image at all, like it is not pluged in when it is. Once it goes to windows

You say the hardware is all good.

If it is, I can boot to SAFE MODE and configure the display and on the next boot it will be fine.

If it isn't, then the hardware is not fine or just another bad configuration.
