Hi everyone, I'm exhausted myself trying to fix this issue by myself. I have a gateway ZX6951 i3 core processor, 1tb hd and 6gb of ram. In the last year or so, internet explorer would show indicate that I was running low on memory (finding it hard to believe since I have 6gb of ram) when opening 2-3 windows. Then what would happen is the internet would just stop working though the rest of my computer would be working, the page just hangs as a white empty page. I'd attempt to open up task manager and terminate all instances of iexplore.exe but still wouldn't fix the issue. Only a fresh restart would help the problem.
Problem is is now the issue happens every 20 minutes of web browsing. I have since changed browsers to Firefox and Chrome, both having the exact same issues (sometimes when I shut down, Chrome has a quick window saying It's dead, Jim). I have deactivated all 3rd party plug ins in chrome and this hasn't helped. I have AVG free running, and I have turned off identity protection as some other forums have suggested. Windows firewall is on as well.
Can anyone give me a hand? Oh btw when the internet cuts I have tried doing the troubleshoot through the wireless adapter to try to see if there are any internet connectivity issues and there says there isn't any. I have tried pinging some sites when the internet is down and some sites ping back, others don't
