harmonize wired old speakers

What's the deal with left over analog wired speakers? I have no use for them since I went big screen tv digital-bluetooth and all. I like the vibrant and robust bass sound of the old system and just cannot find a happy medium. I do have a sound bar but it seems inadequate with these stunning movies these days and need some kind of harmonizing.

Let's say I had a pair of nice speakers and a sound bar. Nothing would stop me from modifying my bar to have these (link follows) for my old speakers.
