Pin website to taskbar

Hi all!

I have started using Google Play Music for listening to music, and i would like to be able to have a shortcut for it in my taskbar, but as it is a website, i have not been able to do so. I have tried making a .bat file, and pinning it, but it doesn't have an icon which annoys me. I have tried converting said batch file to an .exe file, but it crashes for some reason. I am open to most suggestions, even some that ain't too easy, as you see wink

Most Can Drag the Website Shorcut To the Quicklaunch Area

As just an example, in Firefox or Internet Explorer, after opening the page to the site you want to save, click on "File" in the upper left, choose "Save as" or "Save page as", then allow the box to save the file as a .html or .mht icon on your desktop.. Once that's done, simply "drag" the icon to the "Quicklaunch" section in the lower left portion of the bottom taskbar. It will be there for future use.

Windows 8 = no quicklaunch

Well i am running Windows 8, so there is no quicklaunch section in the taskbar. Neither is there in Windows 7.

Quicklaunch

Well, i don't really like the quicklaunch menu at all. I have been using Winamp until now, but i am switching to Google Music, so i want to replace the Winamp icon in my taskbar with the web link to www.music.google.com.

Do this > Open google Chrome to your chosen site > click on Customize and Control Google Chrome >(top right hand side) scroll down to > Tools > Choose > Create Short cut, then choose > Pin to task bar....DONE.

However you need to tell us what browser you are using as each one has a different method in obtaining the end result.
