Card Reader,
I am new to Windows 7 so was reading John Wilkinson's tips which are indeed helpful to find my way around.
One of the issues I would like to adjust is System Restore. I tried the following tip but was told it was an invalid command.
<div>"Unlike with XP, there is no easy slider option to adjust the maximum space used, but you can still do so using the command line. To do so, press Windows + R and type in cmd followed by pressing Enter.) When the command prompt appears, type in the following, entering the correct drive letters and intended size: vssadmin resize shadowstorage /for=C: /on=C: /maxsize=5GB (This is just an example - be sure you enter the desired drive letter and maximum size you desire.)"
</div>
I followed John's instructions to the letter so wondered why it does not work.
thank you,
kind regards,
