Windows 7 forum: 'Pictures' folder slow, not responding

Not solved....

Kees, I've copied all My Pictures to and external hard drive but when I try to delete them from my PC, I get "Windows Explorer has stopped working". I've tried several times but always with the same result. Do you have any further suggestions? Thanks

I'd learn how to use Gyula's Navigator (google to find it) and with that, move ALL files out of this folder then.

1. Delete the folder.
2. Create this folder anew.
3. Test if Explorer hates it (should be fine at this step.)
4. Copy in about 20 files at a time, testing Explorer at each step using Gyula's Navigator to copy them in. DO NOT MOVE FILES, COPY THEM.

Eventually you'll find the bad images.

Thanks Bob - I've downloaded Gyula's Navigator. Much as I'd like to learn to use it, I can't find any tutorials or how-to's. Can you point me to a site which explains how to use it?

But it's just another file/folder browser without Explorer's issue with corrupt images.

I guess you could use the command line since it's only a few commands to learn?
