Game FPS / PC Boost?

Hey everyone,

I have a problem: my pc is getting slow as hell.
He is like 3 years old now and still runs pretty good,
but for games or HD movies... pain.

Yesterday i played Minecraft with my friends at
5 fps (yes, you heard that right).
HD movies on youtube freeze frequently.

I don't really care about the hd movies but i need minecraft running properly if i wanna play with my friends.

I installed Game Booster today and it increased my fps to +/- 30 fps (wich is awesome if u normally get 5),
but sometimes however it still dips down from 30 to 10 in 1 second...

Any tips?

These are my computer's specs:
i5 processor
4 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics (up to 1754 MB DVMT)

Its a laptop...

My pc is a laptop, I cant just open it and clean it.
And I recently did a clean Windows install but i don't feel like it helped all that much...
I'm running CCleaner to clean the softwarestuff.

Does somebody have some tips for me?

The usual is to reduce screen size and turn down the graphic features in the game.

Widely discussed so I'll stop here.
