How do you guys format & see 500 GB Hard Disks on Windows7?

Dear educated and enlightened members of this forum!
I have recently switched over to Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit OS after a 6 years use of Windows XP 64 Bit OS.
I also replaced my 160GB IDE Hard Disk with a 500GB SATA Hard Disk on my Intel DG33FB main board.
The OS was successfully installed and immediately activated and Windows Upgrades were automatically commenced and installed. So far so good. However I had intended to have the hard disk to be equally partitioned in ten (leaving a reserved partition of 100 GB for Windows7) and install the OS on the first partition. In the process of partitions, I could create only 3 ones of approximately 41.2GB and had to install the OS on the first created which is my C Drive. I could format my D and E Drives on NTFS Format and do nothing beyond.
Please tell me how like in Windows XP, I can access the Disk Management program from the Control Panel and retreive the remaining unpartioned space on my 500GB Hard Disk and access it by creating the remaining partions of 41.2 GB from it. The Control Panel in Windows7 is absolutely unfamiliar and I could not see the Disk Management option icon.

Dear Kees_B,

I thank you whole heartedly for your reply and guidance. I have accessed the Disk Management facility in the Control Panel of my Windows 7 OS and created the desired partitions.

People like you make C-Net a fail safe repository of troubleshooting options.
