Civilization III saved games in Win 7

Finding saved games was easy with XP, and I'd regularly clean out the old games and free up space on my hard drive.
Now, with Win 7, I can't find the saved games. I tried uninstalling the entire game and reloading it, but all the dead games were still there, somewhere in memory.
With XP, I'd go to the hard drive, then down through program files to Firaxis, then Civilization, then either Saved Games, Saves or Conquests; I don't remember now.
With Win 7, I can do through the process but nothing leads to the saved, stored games I want to delete. I've asked a couple of people, including a techie, and no one has any idea where the old games are saved or how to get rid of them.
Can anyone help?

EXAMPLE:
C:\Users\ladamson\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron III\save games

I'd try the AppData folder in my profile first. Then the ProgramData folder.

If both failed I'd do a trick. First thing in the morning, I'd save a game, then use my file manager (Windows Explorer or Powerdesk) to find all files created today. This saved game must be one of them. Easy to recognise probably.
