win 7 wants to repair itself most every time

I have a Toshibia notebook which came with Vista. YUCK!

I installed win 7 ultimate and it's been a couple years since trouble started.
Three out of four times it wants to repair itself at startup.

Sometimes I have option to repair or start normally. Sometimes normally works!!!

I have replaced hard drive and reinstalled Windows. Same problem.

I suspect a windows update is culprit.
I have no experience using log files.

Guidance much appreciated.

I have this Acer that did the same thing and it turns out that laptop never will run 7 properly. So it went back to the factory load.

I didn't have to look at log files but check the maker's site for Windows 7 drivers and a little google finding.

In that machine's case, it's a BIOS issue. No new bios so no 7.
